Marián Janík Wins the ESET Science Award: Supporting Quantum Research in Slovakia Through fellowQUTE
The return of talented scientists from abroad, the advancement of cutting-edge research, and the creation of opportunities for the next generation of researchers. These are all part of the story of Marián Janík, a fellowQUTE researcher who received the ESET Science Award in the Outstanding Scientist Under 35 category. Quantum technologies are opening up new […]
On 14–15 October 2026, QUTE.sk showcased practical quantum-secure communication, the skQCI project, and the opportunities and challenges of quantum technologies at OpenSlava.
In 2026, European Researchers’ Night in Slovakia celebrated its 20th anniversary. On this special occasion, we continued our long-standing tradition of quantum physics outreach and expanded our collaboration to welcome a new partner: the Faculty of Management Science and Informatics at the University of Žilina (FRI UNIZA).
The 21st edition of CEQIP – the Central European Quantum Information Processing workshop took place last week, from 14 to 17 September 2026 in Mikulov, Czech Republic, bringing together researchers working in quantum information and related fields. CEQIP has been organised for 21 years by the Research Center for Quantum Information (RCQI) at the Institute of Physics of the […]
On 11 September 2026, Peter Staňo, Senior Research Scientist at RIKEN Center for Emergent Matter Science in Japan, presented his research on semiconductor spin qubits and quantum computing at the latest colloQUTE organised by QUTE.sk and the IP SAS.
In August, we wrapped up the 4th edition of the QUTE Summer School in Bratislava – our biggest edition so far, bringing together 80 participants from 19 countries, creating an international environment for students, researchers, educators and quantum technology enthusiasts to learn, experiment and exchange ideas.
Thirty years ago, Vladimír Bužek and Mark Hillery demonstrated that even when nature sets strict limits, there is still room to push the boundaries. Their work on optimal quantum cloning became a landmark contribution to quantum information science – and a lasting example of the expertise and scientific legacy behind QUTE.sk.
