The quantum era has begun: In the Spektrum 24 show about connections that cannot be intercepted

Secure digital communication and information exchange is one of the key tasks for the smooth running of the state. The European project Slovak quantum communication infrastructure skQCI started in Slovakia. Its main goal is to build a quantum communication infrastructure that will connect 12 Slovak academic institutions from Bratislava to Košice.

Thanks to these links, it will be possible to send information in such a way that no one can eavesdrop. The main coordinator of the project is the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Ján Mečiar talked with its director Mário Ziman about the details.
