Nobel Prize for entanglement
We are happy to spread the news that this year Nobel Prize was awarded to our distinguished colleagues Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger for their experiments with entangled photons, establishing the violation of Bell inequalities and pioneering quantum information science. As said on the NobelPrize website “their results have cleared the way for new technology based upon quantum information” and we know what they are talking about.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! https://www.nobelprize.org/prizes/physics/2022/summary/.

We are building an ultra-secure quantum communication network in Slovakia
Quantum encryption is unbreakable and thus ensures the highest possible level of information protection. That is why the European initiative euroQCI was created with the aim of building such a secured quantum communication infrastructure across the European Union, in which Slovakia is also involved. At the Institute of Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, we already operate the first European cross-border quantum line between Vienna and Bratislava. This line is intended for researchers to improve the stability and capacity of the transmission and, based on this, to improve the upcoming lines for the quantum internet. Within five years, the Slovak quantum communication infrastructure will be created, which will cover 12 cities and will be built on the existing optical communication infrastructure of the SANET network. Doc will talk more in the video. Mário Ziman.
